Sydney: Angus & Robertson, 1933.
The popularity of Gibbs’ “gumnut” series ensured that many subsequent editions would enter the market in different formats: this sequel to Little Ragged Blossom appeared in the Gumnut Reader series (but with the Angus & Robertson imprint) along with all the other titles in the series. [Muir, 2759]
The format preserves the full text and all of the images from the original work, although reduced to black & white for swifter production and cost effectiveness. Such ephemeral material, especially produced for the demands of the nursery, is often hard to find.
Octavo, 77 pp., with a frontispiece and illustrations throughout, with two instances of juvenile handcolouring (but minor); well restored original wrappers, otherwise very good.
Price (AUD): $125.00 other currencies
