Ludo, a comedy in three acts by the renowned French journalist, novelist and playwright, Pierre Scize (pseudonym for Michel Joseph Piot, 1894 -1956).
Scize was hit by a shell in the first months of WWI, losing his arm. With all that remained of him, Scize started to write.
He wrote for L'Œuvre, Bonsoir, Paris-Journal, Canard Enchaine, La Figaro and was a member of one of the first ciné-clubs, Ricciotto Canudo’s CASA, becoming a film critic for Candide and Paris Soir.
Small octavo, illustrated paper wrappers, 24 pages, photographically illustrated with art deco advertisements and portraits of the company in black & white throughout, near fine. Rare.
