Robert Bonfils (1886-1972) was an illustrator, graphic artist and fashion designer at the forefront of the art deco movement. A member of the organising committee for the famous Paris Art Deco Exhibition of 1925, his work for stylish Parisian fashion magazines in the 1920s brought great acclaim.
Edition limited to 500 numbered copies, small quarto, illustrated pochoir wrappers with original translucent dust jacket, edges uncut, 100 pages, 180 x 115 mm, with 17 full-page colour pochoir illustrations and many smaller pochoir illustrations and cul-de-lampes throughout, a lovely copy.
