This beautiful facsimile surveys the work of Julian Smith (1873-1947), a respected surgeon and pioneering photographer in Australia. The rich tones of Smith's photographs, predominately character studies and portraits of prominent civil servants and individuals, were attained using a special printing technique developed by the artist.
